Do you know what the forcola is?
The forcola is a type of oarlock used in the Venetian boga, a particular rowing technique that takes place in the area of the Venice Lagoon and its surrounding areas, in which a single rower, with a single oar, moves the boat forward.
Made of hard wood and meticulously carved, it is worked by hand, on a natural curvature of the tree, so that no two forcolas are the same.
